If you MUST (try) to play this then, restart from scratch in a new gamesave, have an USB pendrive at the ready at all times, play for a bit, make a gamesave backup, continue trying to play, make another save, get your mandatory game breaking glitch, reload your save from the pendrive into your console or PC and try to continue playing.
